3pm-7pm

Drink specials, good music, and some creative people on-hand ready to help with suggestions.

For admission, just bring a bag of any lightly-used and freshly-laundered clothes you don’t want anymore - or, if you don’t have that, $5 (all the money will go to Goodwill and its rehabilitation programs, recycling initiatives, and community outreach). Then you’re free to fill up a new bag with anything you like – and we’ll be on-hand to give you tips as to what costume you can make from all you have, now, at your fingertips.

JivamukTea Cafe

Nina and I cannot say enough about the food here.  DELICIOUS!  Typically we do not speak at all, we can only make noises to express our joy.  We love the spicy tempeh salad, the Yogi’s choice with rosemary seitan, quinoa and kale and the vegan muffins, brownies, pies, cookies and more! The food is 100% vegan. It is amazing that food this tasty is not only healthy, but earth-conscious.  So if you are ever in Union Square, do yourself a favor, and stop at the JivamukTea Cafe (841 Broadway, 2nd floor). And while you’re at it, take a class!

The perfect gift for you and the men in your life

Treat yourself to Skinny Bitch and give Skinny Bastard to the men you love.  It’s hilarious and has so much enlightening information about what you eat, what you should be eating and why. Don’t be fooled by the title, it’s not about dieting or even about being skinny.

In the authors own words, “A Skinny Bitch is someone who enjoys food, eats well, and loves her body as a result. It has nothing to do with how much you weigh or what size you are! Skinny Bitches come in all beautiful shapes and sizes!”
